Picture, Mirror & Shelf Hanging in Miami
Double Handyman hangs pictures, art, mirrors, floating shelves, curtain rods and blinds across Miami-Dade and South Broward — level, spaced and anchored for the weight, on drywall, concrete or block. Gallery walls, oversized mirrors and whole-apartment move-in hanging are routine. Flat-rate price before booking, same-week in most cases.
Why hanging things in Miami is harder than it looks
A picture hook from the hardware store assumes a drywall wall with a wood stud behind it. Miami gives you concrete block, poured concrete, metal studs or drywall glued straight onto block — and a heavy mirror on the wrong anchor comes down at 3 AM. Getting it right means knowing what is behind the wall, choosing the anchor to match and drilling without chipping the finish.
The second half is layout. A gallery wall needs a plan before the first hole, a floating shelf needs to be dead level because everyone will put a glass on it, and curtain rods need to clear the window frame and the AC vent that is always right there.
What we hang
- Framed art, canvases and gallery walls with a layout you approve first
- Heavy mirrors, including frameless and full-length leaners anchored for safety
- Floating shelves, bracket shelves and picture ledges
- Curtain rods, drapery tracks, blinds and shades
- Coat hooks, towel bars, toilet-paper holders and bathroom hardware
- Wall-mounted headboards, hooks and bike racks
How it works
Send photos of the pieces and the walls, or just tell us how many items you have. We quote a flat price for the list. On the day we lay out with tape or paper templates, confirm with you, drill with the right anchor for the wall, hang and level. Move-in days are our favourite version of this: one visit, every box of frames emptied, nothing leaning against a wall.
Where we do this most
Pictures, Mirrors & Shelves is one of the jobs we are asked for most in these neighbourhoods. Each area page covers what is typical there and how buildings and homes differ.
What You Get

Your Questions, Answered
How much does hanging pictures and shelves cost in Miami?
We price flat-rate, not by the hour. Tell us the job — a photo or two helps — and we give you one upfront number before anything is scheduled. The price moves with the number of items, their weight — a large mirror on concrete takes longer than a frame on drywall — and whether a gallery layout needs to be planned on site. Whatever we quote is what you pay; there is no clock running and no add-ons at the door.
Can you hang a heavy mirror on a concrete wall?
Yes, and it is the safest wall to hang one on. We drill with a masonry bit and use sleeve anchors or heavy-duty screws rated well above the mirror's weight, with two or more fixing points so it cannot rotate.
Do you install floating shelves?
Yes. Floating shelves rely entirely on the hidden bracket being anchored into something solid and set perfectly level, which is where most DIY shelves go wrong. We anchor into studs or masonry and check level across the full length.
Can you hang things without damaging a rental wall?
We use the smallest anchor that is safe for the weight, and we can patch and touch up old holes at the same visit so the wall is ready for move-out. See our drywall repair page for that side of things.
Do you bring the materials?
Either way works. We can install hardware and parts you have already bought, or pick up what the job needs and pass it through at cost with the receipt. Standard fasteners, anchors and consumables are on the truck.
